DIY Creative Sandwiches for Kids
The famous expression “we eat with our eyes” is definitely true, especially for kids! The look of the food is one of the criteria that we use to decide if the dish is worth it or not. When we are cooking for kids we have to use our creativity, mainly when the dish involves things that are not as attractive to them as vegetables! In this post we will show you how to make a healthy sandwich, using simple ingredients but with a funny look: a crab! You can use this idea in your daily meals or in special occasions like birthday parties or picnics.
- Sandwich Bread
- Round cutter
Cut the bread with the round cutter and spread mayonnaise on it. Then cut the cheese with a knife in a zigzag shape and place in the bread. Wrap the ham to make the tongue and place in the center of the bread.
Use the toothpick to attach two olives on the bread to make the eyes. Use leftover bread to make croutons, breadcrumbs or other recipes.
