How to Make Quilling Paper Flowers
The quilling technique is a way of joining several strips of paper to make a variety of handcrafted works, such as cards, scrapbooks, pictures and decorative flowers. In this article we will show you how to make a paper daisy flower using this incredible technique that looks difficult but indeed it is really simple.
- White Paper
- Yellow Paper
- Green Paper
- Quilling Needle (if you do not have one you can use a thin stick)
- Double Sided Tape
- Pieces of wire (20 cm each)
Start cutting the white paper into strips (1/2 cm width). Use the needle or the stick to roll each strip, while you are rolling them make sure they are really tight against the needle. When you finished rolling remove the needle from inside, give a shape of petal to the roll and use a drop of glue to stick the edge.
For each daisy flower you will need 10 white petals.
Start gluing the petals together in circle giving the shape of a flower
Now, cut a yellow paper strip (2 cm), fold it in the middle twice and make fringes cutting 2/3 of the strip. Put a piece of the double-sided tape along it and roll until you form the center of the flower.
Glue the yellow part in the middle of the flower. Now cut the green paper in strips (1/2 cm), use some strips to cover the piece of wire and when you get the top make many rolls to create the base of the flower. Glue the flower on the base.
